What?
We are a community of movers in Rochester, NY who get together for Contact Improvisation jams. Here is one definition/description of Contact:
Contact Improvisation is a dance form where two people depend on each other to make a beautiful dance. Like modern dance, like martial arts, like sports, it challenges the individual to develop their kinesthetic sense and bodily ability. Unlike these disciplines, it revels in interdependency and spontaneity. The dance is reinvented in every duet.
If you want to learn more about Contact Improv, Contact Quarterly has published a wonderful overview of the form.
